Directly perform optical power amplification on 1550nm wired television optical signals without the need to convert light to electricity and then back to light, thereby enhancing the overall output optical intensity and compensating for the natural losses caused by fiber optic transmission.
Extend signal transmission distance
The optical power of fiber optic long-distance transmission will continuously decrease. EDFA compensates for line losses and significantly extends the transmission distance of wired television trunk lines, enabling long-distance and wide-area networking coverage.
Meet the demand for multi-channel splitting and distribution
The original output power of the optical transmitter is limited. After amplification by EDFA, the total optical power is sufficient. Through the splitter, a large number of branches can be divided, driving numerous areas and building blocks of optical nodes, and achieving large-scale user coverage in a single-point machine room.
Stabilize signal level and ensure transmission quality
With AGC (Automatic Gain Control) function, when the input optical power fluctuates, it automatically maintains the output power stable; the linear working characteristic is excellent. When mixed transmission of multiple analog and digital television signals is carried out, it reduces signal distortion, intermodulation interference, and reduces picture mosaic, lag, and noise problems.
Adapt to the two-way network of radio and television
It can be combined with wavelength division multiplexing devices, amplifying the downstream television live broadcast signals, and also compensating for the upstream on-demand, broadband return transmission signals, supporting the two-way integrated services of wired television and broadband.
Flexible deployment in different scenarios
Pre-power amplification: Deployed at the back end of the optical transmitter in the machine room, to achieve large-power splitting output;
Line relay amplification: Laid in the middle of the ultra-long trunk line, providing supplementary light at the halfway point to avoid signal loss exceeding the standard;
End-pre amplification: Deployed at the front end of the community or building, to supplement the optical power before the household, ensuring that the receiving level of the terminal set-top box is qualified.
